So, as you may or may not know, I was recently asked to join the ranks of the authors being featured in the 2017 #SerendipiTea Tour, a book blog tour featuring sixteen debuting authors from 2017! Since that’s exactly Alice’s cup of tea (Mad Tea Party, anyone?), I was super stoked!
Even MORE recently, I was given the opportunity to HOST one of stops on the tour, and when I heard who the author was, I literally jumped at the chance. Not only is she an incredible writer, she also happens to be one of the COOLEST people I know!
Who is this femme fatale? None other than my very own Pen Name bestie, Miss Amanda Gernentz Hanson!
OK, so first, let me start by saying, I was given the chance to read an Advanced Release Copy of this book, and OH MY GOSH. What a WONDERFUL story!!! I am not usually a he contemporary fiction reader (I usually like to live in my worlds of fantasy), but THIS BOOK. From the very first page I knew Amanda’s book was well, Something Beautiful. As I was reading I was completely drawn into Declan and Cordelia’s love story. Though it may not be ‘traditional,’ it has to be one of the most powerful loves I have ever read about, and OH THE FEELS. I don’t want to give anything away, but GUYS, this is a book you won’t want to miss, trust me. Ready to pick up your copy? Follow the links below!
Amanda Gernentz Hanson has been writing stories since the third grade, when she turned in a five-page story about talking dogs to a local youth arts contest. She is an instructional designer by day and an everything else by night. Amanda is a proud Latina who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Hope College and her Master’s degree in Technical Communication from Minnesota State University. You can find her on the internet at browneyedtwentysomething.com and diverseladybookproject.tumblr.com, and on Twitter and Instagram @amandamariegh. (Send her some love!) If you see her in the wild, she probably has a book in her purse.
Not only did I have the pleasure of early access to Amanda’s wonderful book, I also get the privilege of calling her my friend! So we got to talk in depth about her book, and of course, her tea tour contributions. Want a peek into the inner workings of her mind? I thought you might! Keep reading to learn more!
How did you choose your tea?
I chose the two different types of tea for the prize pack to represent my two main characters, Cordelia and Declan. Cordelia is dark and spicy throughout the book, so the black tea represents her. Declan is lighter, more fun, and Cordelia often talks about his bright green eyes – so the green tea is for him.
Be honest, did you just pick your favorite tea?
Honestly, I’m not a huge fan of most teas! I have immature taste when it comes to drinks. My husband likes tea, though, and he taste-tested all of my potential combinations for me until we settled on these two flavors for my characters. His family has tea drinkers in them, so maybe they’ll convert me yet. 😉
Looks great, right?! So what are you waiting for? if you want a chance to win these awesome goodies, scroll down to enter our giveaway! Not only will you snag these great prizes, you’ll also be entered to win a pack with swag from our other 2017 authors! How sweet is that?
